It's official! Last night (the great and wonderful July 29th, aka my birthday), we went out to dinner, allegedly for my birthday. Eight of our good friends, my sister Cassie, Cristin and I all went to Maggiano's (where, not-so-coincidentally Cristin and I had our first date). We had a very nice, family style dinner. Afterwards, I opened my birthday gifts.

But then after that, I stumbled through a speech that transitioned from "Thank you everybody for coming" into "Cristin, will you marry me?" I don't recall my exact words, but then again, neither does she. So, regardless of what other people might say, it was an eloquent speech for the history books. She said yes.
